I have known Martin Deeley for 7 years. First, as a gundog trainer and now as a friend, neighbor and fellow member of the Central Florida Hunting Retriever Club. I have attended his gundog workshops for the last 7 years and I train with him on a regular basis. Martin knows dogs. He reads them extremely well and transfers that keen insight into appropriate training techniques. Unlike some professional trainers, Martin’s training methods are flexible and are keyed to the temperament of the dog. Most importantly, Martin "not only talks the talk, but walks the walk" as evidenced by his 12 for 12 passes at CFHRC hunt tests in March 2002. These passes were with both his dogs and client dogs and were accomplished at all levels of competition. I highly recommend Martin Deeley as a person of high character and as a totally competent gundog trainer.
